Traditional Chinese Acupuncture is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) which has been used for over 5000 years and it is based on the paradigm that the body has an innate vital energy called “Qi”, which circulates in channels or meridians in the body and keeps us healthy. A block in a channel can lead to dysfunction in tissues and organs, leading to symptoms and discomfort in a person.

These meridians can be influenced and “unblocked” by needling and/or cupping specific acupuncture points which helps re-establish the regular flow of Qi through the meridians. Acupuncture is used widely in order to treat digestive disorders, respiratory conditions, pain and nerve problems, fertility, hormonal imbalances, sports injuries, psychological issues and more. The overall improvement is achieved by balancing the body’s energies which ultimately influences the physical, emotional and mental well-being of an individual.
